Our story

Founded in 2015 by Sarah Trubnick and Manuel Hewitt, what began as a restaurant featuring constantly-rotating celebrations of global wine culture has evolved into a multi-country viticultural exploration.  In honor of our late founder Sarah our focus now shines on showcasing female led and produced wines and winemakers. This truly unique wine collection features iconic and emerging producers and styles from wine region both near and far. 

We aim to push the envelope and guide guests through undiscovered stories told through the lens of incredible winemakers and our thoughtfully designed New American cuisine.

Our culinary offerings feature a creative blend of ingredients, recipes, and techniques. Executive Chef Manuel Hewitt and chef de cusine Jose Peraza curate a menu that reflects the diverse flavors of American and global cuisine, drawing inspiration from regions across the world, each dish is crafted to showcase the unique terroir and culinary traditions of its origins.

For parties of six or more, we recommend making reservations at least a week in advance. For walk-ins, we only seat parties on a first come, first served basis. For parties of 10 or more, please email us at info@barrelroomsf.com for booking.
